The purpose of SDU Vikings is to create a team of skilled and dedicated students who can test their theoretical knowledge in a practical context. Since the project encompasses the entire production cycle from idea to realization, it will benefit the students in the future, regardless of the path they choose. In this way, the project is about more than just building the fastest car.
We also aim to educate the best students who can tackle future challenges and create innovative solutions.
Being a member of SDU Vikings doesn't mean we expect you to know all the answers - that's not how we got from Viking I to Viking XII. The journey was full of trials, guesses and errors, but we never stopped our goal of building the best race car each year. And that's all we expect of you - that you will continue our tradition of pursuing the next big goal.

Business and Operations is responsible for supporting the other departments financially and logistically. We aim to build strong partnerships with sponsors, create engaging content across our platforms, and ensure smooth and efficient operations.
The Electrical Team is responsible for creating all electrical hardware and connections throughout the car, along with the necessary software for projects such as the dashboard, master controller, and two battery systems.
Being part of the Mechanical team at Vikings means helping design, manufacture, and implement key components like the chassis and suspension while gaining hands-on engineering experience and turning ideas into race-ready parts.
Using sensors, algorithms, and software, the goal of Driverless, in collaboration with the Mechanical and Electrical teams, is to make the Viking platform drive on its own.
